What is an HVAC Appointment?

An HVAC Appointment is a scheduled meeting with your heating and cooling supplier where you review and finalise the details of your home's air conditioning system — including unit type, zoning layout, ducted or split system options, vent positions, and control panels before installation begins.

Why is this Needed?

This step ensures your HVAC system is:

  • Customised to suit your floor plan and layout
  • Compliant with energy efficiency and ventilation standards
  • Approved and ready for supplier ordering and on-site installation
  • Designed with your comfort, zoning, and smart control preferences in mind

How it Works

1. Confirm your HVAC vendor: Contact our Expert Guidance and Support team to confirm which HVAC supplier is linked to your project

2. Book your HVAC appointment

  • Visit your supplier’s website or call directly
  • Look for an option like “Book a Selection Appointment” or “Request Consultation”
  • Submit your details and note any specific preferences or questions in the booking form

3. Prepare for your appointment

Bring or have ready:

  • Your latest floor plan and electrical layout
  • Any specific heating/cooling preferences (e.g. zones, smart controls)
  • Any developer guidelines or facade limitations that may affect placement

4. Attend your HVAC selection appointment

  • Finalise system type (ducted, split, multi-head)
  • Confirm vent and unit locations with respect to furniture layout
  • Choose control options (manual vs smart, wall-mounted vs app control)
  • Ask about noise, maintenance access, and energy ratings

5. Lock in your selection

  • Record model numbers, vent types, and placement decisions
  • Confirm pricing or variations (if applicable)

Once Selected

Once you've locked in your selections, upload it to the Document Library and then click the orange “Mark Complete” button to move to the next step in your construction workflow.
