What is a Mine Subsidence Report?
A
Mine Subsidence Report is a
formal assessment that determines whether your property is located within or near an area of
historical or active mining activity. It assesses risks related to
land movement, instability, or subsidence, which can affect how your property is designed or approved for construction.

Why is this Needed?
This report is required to:
- Confirm if your site lies within a mine subsidence-affected zone
- Flag any need for special foundation design or additional engineering
- Satisfy council or regulatory requirements prior to development approval
- Ensure construction complies with safety and land stability conditions
How it Works
1. Go to the QLD Government MyMinesOnline portal:
https://myminesonline.business.qld.gov.au

2. Create an account or log in. Click “Login” or “Create Account” to access the application portal
3. Enter your site details. Provide your lot and plan number, site address, and any relevant planning documentation (e.g. site plans, DA documents)
4. Complete the application form/l
- Select the relevant type of assessment (e.g. Subsidence Report or Property Search)
- Answer all required questions about your project scope and site location
5. Submit your application:
- Review your information
- Click ‘Submit’ to lodge the application
6. Await assessment:
- Reports are typically issued within 5–10 business days, depending on site complexity and data availability
- You may be contacted if further details or clarification are required

Once Received
Once you've received your Mine Subsidence Report, upload it to the Document Library and then click the
orange “Mark Complete” button to move to the next step in your construction workflow.
