What Is the Final Externals Schedule?
Your Final Externals Schedule is a detailed list of all the external materials and finishes you’ve selected for your home — including colours, textures, brands, and specifications. It ensures your certifier and suppliers are all working from the same final set of selections when construction begins.
This document forms part of your official build pack and will be referenced throughout site works and inspections.
Why It Matters
This schedule prevents miscommunication, delays, or incorrect material ordering on site. It locks in:
- Brick or cladding type
- Roof and gutter colours
- Window frame finishes
- Driveway material
- External door hardware
- And other external features
It also ensures that your approvals and construction documentation reflect what’s actually being built.
What You Need To Do
- Review and finalise your external selections with your designer.
- Ensure the selections align with your approved plans (or updated as needed).
- Upload the file to your Build Buddy Document Library.
- Tag the file exactly as: “Selections – External Schedule Final”
This makes it easier for your consultants and certifier to locate the right file quickly when reviewing your build documentation.
