What is an HVAC Appointment?
An HVAC Appointment is a
scheduled design consultation where you, as the owner, work with your supplier to finalise your home’s
heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. This includes confirming
unit type, system size, vent placement, zoning preferences, and
control systems.

Why is this Needed?
HVAC selections are essential to:
- Ensure the system is correctly sized and positioned before rough-in
- Align with your home’s floor plan, energy efficiency goals, and comfort zones
- Avoid delays or costly design changes later in the build
- Finalise system components for
accurate ordering and installation
How it Works
1. Confirm your HVAC supplier. Contact the Expert Guidance and Support team to confirm which HVAC vendor is allocated to your project.
2. Book your appointment:
- Visit the supplier’s website or call directly
- Look for “Book Appointment” or “Request HVAC Consultation”
- Complete the booking form with your contact details and project notes
3. Prepare for your appointment:
- Have your floor plan and internal layout ready
- Note any ceiling heights, window locations, or insulation details
- Consider preferences such as ducted vs split system, zoning, or smart controls
4. Attend the HVAC appointment:
- Finalise your system type and capacity
- Choose vent positions, return air grille placement, and control zones
- Review control options (e.g. wall-mounted vs smart app)
- Ask about servicing, noise, and compatibility with your plans
5. Lock in your selections:
- Record your final product specs and preferences
- Submit them to your builder or upload to Build Buddy
6. Need to reschedule?
- Contact your supplier directly
- Update the task date in Build Buddy accordingly

Once Confirmed
Once you've confirmed your HVAC Selections, upload it to the Document Library and then click the
