What is a Solar Appointment?

A Solar Appointment is a meeting with your solar provider where you finalise your home's solar power system design — including panel layout, system size, inverter type, and any optional upgrades like batteries, monitoring, or EV chargers.

Why is this Needed?

This appointment ensures your solar system is:

  • Designed to suit your roof layout and orientation
  • Sized to meet your energy needs and household usage
  • Compliant with local installation standards, approvals, and grid requirements
  • Ready for accurate quoting, approval, and smooth installation during construction

How it Works

1. Confirm your solar provider. Contact the Expert Guidance and Support team to find out which solar supplier is connected to your project.

2. Book your appointment:

  • Visit the solar provider’s website or call directly
  • Look for a “Book Design Appointment” or “Solar Consultation” option
  • Provide your details and any site-specific information (e.g. roof pitch or energy goals)

3. Prepare for your appointment. Have the following available if possible:

  • Site or roof plan (to assist with panel layout)
  • Recent energy bills or usage estimates (if available)
  • Preferences for battery storage, smart monitoring, or future upgrades

4. Attend your solar design appointment:

  • Confirm system size, number of panels, and estimated generation
  • Choose your inverter type (string vs micro vs hybrid)
  • Select additional options like battery storage, EV chargers, or monitoring systems
  • Review orientation, shading, efficiency, and product warranties

5. Finalise your design and selections

  • Document final specs and inclusions
  • Confirm approval process and lead time for installation
